Two weeks to go until early-bird prices end

There are just two weeks to go to secure early-bird prices for Racing Foundation Conference tickets. The event, taking place on Thursday, October 2nd at York Racecourse, seeks to prompt collaboration and build understanding around the industry’s youth engagement opportunities and challenges and bring delegates from across the horseracing industry together for a day of insight, innovation and connection.
 
Stuart Rowson, a leading expert in helping sports and media organisations grow their reach and impact with younger audiences, will deliver a keynote talk revealing his insights on how sport can resonate with the next generation. 
 
The event will also feature:
-Research examining the drivers and barriers to effective youth engagement
-The industry’s new social impact strategy
-Expert insights from beyond the racing world
-A collaborative workshop, led by Stuart Rowson, to promote ideas and action
-An industry-wide approach relevant to every sector of the horseracing industry

Early bird tickets are available for just £75 until midnight on Thursday September 4. Discounts are available to charities and young people.

Racing Foundation funds 54 community events with Godolphin and the Racing Post as part of National Racehorse Week calendar

More racehorses than ever will meet the public during National Racehorse Week which takes place across the country between Saturday 23 and Sunday 31 August.

Over 50 community events, which are delivered with funding from Racing Foundation, Godolphin and the Racing Post, will take place alongside 91 yard open days offering more than 11,500 tickets to the public.

These events include connecting the Pony Club with local Madrassah groups in Lancashire and Birmingham and facilitating yard visits for charities such as Mind, Tickets4Troops and Riding for the Disabled. 
 
Over 2,000 individuals will take part in the community events with support from Racing Together.

Interview with Sienna Anderson after the 2025 Markel Magnolia Cup

Last month Sienna Anderson followed in the footsteps of Khadijah Mellah by riding in the Markel Magnolia Cup, securing second place on the Charlie Fellowes-trained Al Mudhaffar.

Sienna was a part of the first Racing Foundation-funded Khadijah Mellah Scholarship programme at the Riding a Dream Academy in 2021-22 after learning to ride at Mottingham Stables in South London. For the last two years she has been working at Charlie Fellowes’ yard since graduating from the Foundation Course at the British Racing School.

The cheers and tears at Goodwood from Sienna’s friends and family, lead by mum Nicole, were a testament to the journey Sienna has been on to reach this milestone of her career.
