Crawford Targets Paddock Stakes Glory with Rising Star

James Crawford, co-trainer with his father Brett, has set his sights on the Grade 1 Paddock Stakes on King’s Plate Day for their standout three-year-old filly, Fatal Flaw.

The Grade 1-winning filly showcased her talent with a commanding gun-to-tape victory under the masterful guidance of Piere Strydom, who delivered what many regard as one of his finest front-running rides. This will mark Fatal Flaw’s first challenge against older fillies in the prestigious 1800m event at Kenilworth

Kannemeyer Star to Revert to Sprinting

Gimme’s Countess will revert to sprinting after being beaten again over ground in the Gr1 Cape Fillies Guineas on Saturday.

It was Fatal Flaw day over the weekend where Brett and James Crawford dominated with the Cape fillies left counting their losses. Fatal Flaw was shipped in from Joburg for the win. At the forefront of them was Gimme’s Countess, who was rater disappointing having flattened at the business end of the race.
