Group 1 Siblings Headline A Superb Goffs November Foal Sale

The superb catalogue for Goffs’ market leading November Foal Sale is now available online and features 1034 of the very best Irish foals that will be offered from Monday 14 – Thursday 17 November.  The Foal Sale will be followed by the November Breeding Stock Sale from 18 – 19 November.

Group 1 siblings by world class sires head an outstanding selection of foals and include a Kingman half-brother to Champion 2YO and Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Skitter Scatter (Lot 727), a Teofilo half-sister to 2000 Guineas and three-time Group 1 winner Dawn Approach (Lot 768), a Churchill brother to Irish St Leger winner Sonnyboyliston (Lot 577), and an own-brother to German Derby winner Sea The Moon (Lot 628) whose half-sister topped last year’s Goffs November Foal Sale.  Another outstanding Sea The Stars foal catalogued is the own-brother to Irish and Yorkshire Oaks winner Sea Of Class (Lot 766).

Also among the highlights are an own-brother to G1 Natalma Stakes winner La Pelosa (Lot 550), a Kingman half-brother to Orby sale topper and recent Stakes winner Zanbaq (Lot 606) and a pair of Wootton Bassett foals that include a half-brother to John and Thady Gosden’s hugely exciting juvenile Arrest (Lot 591), who was purchased by Juddmonte at the November Foal Sale, and a half-sister to multiple Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed Terebellum (Lot 565).

A half-brother to 2YO winner and Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac second Gan Teorainn by Inns Of Court is catalogued as Lot 726, while other standouts are a half-brother to four-time Group 1 winner Blue Point by Earthlight (Lot 629) and a Kodiac colt whose Black Type siblings include Group 3 winner Vadream (Lot 764).

Galileo leads a powerful sire profile alongside foals by Dandy Man, Dark Angel, Eqtidaar, Galileo Chrome, Inn Of Court, Invincible Army, Invincible Spirit, Kingman, Kodi Bear, Kodiac, Lope De Vega, Magna Grecia, Mehmas, New Bay, Night Of Thunder, No Nay Never, Oasis Dream, Profitable, Ribchester, Saxon Warrior, Sea The Stars, Showcasing, Sioux Nation, Siyouni, Starspangledbanner, Ten Sovereigns, Teofilo, Wootton Bassett, Zarak and Zoustar among others.

The world’s best racehorse of 2020 Ghaiyyath topped the November Sale as a foal when bought by Godolphin, and his first crop of foals at Goffs this year include sisters to the dam of Group 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner Line Of Duty (Lot 716) and to the Champion sprinter Suesa (Lot 626).  Other exciting new sires with their first foals on offer in November are Arizona, Circus Maximus, Earthlight, Far Above, Hello Youmzain, Kameko, King Of Change, Mohaather, Persian King, River Boyne, Royal Lytham, Sands Of Mali, Sergei Prokofiev, Shaman, Sottsass, Without Parone and Wooded.

The first major European foal sale of the year, Goffs November is unmissable for buyers whether seeking to re-sell or to race.  Along with Ghaiyyath, four-time Group 1 winner Alcohol Free was also purchased as a foal to race by her owner, while November Foals proved profitable for so many pinhookers at the Orby Sale, headed by Pier House Stud’s Ten Sovereigns colt that sold to Jacob West for €500,000 having been purchased for €130,000 last November.

Commenting on publication of the catalogue, Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:

Goffs is the gateway to the world for Irish breeders and we are extremely grateful that the overwhelming majority send their best foals to the November Sale. Ireland’s National Foal Sale consistently proves to be the preferred choice for most pinhookers and so many end users, both of whom have enjoyed so many successes year after year.  We are proud to present a truly world class catalogue packed full of outstanding foals with the credentials on paper and conformation to appeal to every major buyer at every level seeking their next pinhooking success story or Group 1 glory”.

Goffs November Foal Sale 2022 will follow the same successful format as 2021, with foals catalogued alphabetically by dam each day from Monday to Thursday inclusive.  With strength and depth at all levels of the market, Monday and Thursday are billed as equal, Tuesday will raise the bar to an extent, and Wednesday will feature the most Black Type pedigrees.  Selling begins at 10am each day.
