Nine Wild Cards added to the Summer Sale catalogue

A stallion from the Aga Khan Studs, a broodmare and seven recent performers on the flat and over jumps have been added to the Summer Sale catalogue that will take place at Deauville from June 29 to July 1.

  • Offered from the prestigious Aga Khan Studs, MAKALOUN will open the second day of the sale as lot 236A. The son of Bated Breath took the Critérium du Fond Européen de l’Élevage (L.) and the Prix de Condé (Gr.3) before finishing third in the Critérium de Saint-Cloud (Gr.1) as a juvenile. He then took the Prix de Guiche (Gr.3) as a three-year-old.
  • Also in the breeding section, Haras des Capucines will consign TOSIA (lot 295A). From the family of Group winners THORIN, TAI CHI, TARAJA and TURNING LIGHT, the daughter of Big Shuffle has already produced Listed scorer THINK OF ME. She is offered in foal to Zelzal.
  • On the flat, the black-type performer SAVING GRACE (lot 440) will be offered by Fabrice Chappet. The three-year-old daughter of Almanzor with a current rating of 88, finished runner-up in the Prix Isonomy (L.) at Deauville last season behind Group winner MISTER SAINT PAUL.
  • Runner-up in the Prix Caravelle (L.) this season for Satoshi Kobayashi, STYLE BEAUTY will go under the hammer as lot 441. Also a three-year-old, the daughter of Style Vendome has a rating of 91 and is from the family of the very good A P VALENTINE.
  • Over jumps, Mathieu Pitart offers Auteuil Prix Wild Monarch Hurdle (L.) winner NAJIMA STAR (lot 490). The three-year-old daughter of Prince Gibraltar is a half-sister to Listed placed HEURTEVENT from the excellent family of SOMMERABEND and SIRIUS.
  • Runner-up on his debut over 2,600m, INDIAN DE GASCOGNE is lot 491. Trained by Antoine de Watrigant, the four-year-old is a daughter of the excellent Martaline and hails from the family of the talented CHIRICO VALLIS and JERICO VALLIS.
  • Hector de Lageneste and Guillaume Macaire will send the very consistent JEU D’OPALE (lot 492) to Deauville. The son of Jeu St Eloi most recently won over fences at Cluny. The four-year-old gelding is from the family of ACHOUR, CROSS IN HAND and TOMMY SILVER.
  • Gabriel Leenders will offer SPANISH HARLEM (lot 493), a winner over hurdles at Auteuil at the beginning of the month. The four-year-old gelding by Spanish Moon is from the family of the very good performers ROI DES FRANCS, POLIVALENTE and KILLYGLASS.
  • The very promising DIXON COVE will be offered as lot 494 by Philippe and Camille Peltier. Placed on her first three starts at Auteuil, the three-year-old filly was most recently third in the Prix Sagan (Gr.3).
