19/07/2021. Galway Races: 1 week to go!

MESSAGES OF SUPPORT
We’ve received lots of messages of support from all over the world, including this very special one from former Champion Jockey, Sir AP McCoy, who sends his best wishes to all taking part in the Galway Races Summer Festival 2021. Thanks AP.  Click here
PROUD TO SUPPORT OUR SILENT PARTNER, THE THOROUGHBRED RACEHORSE
For our Summer Festival we are delighted to support The Irish Horse Welfare Trust, Ireland’s largest dedicated equine charity, providing specialist care for Thoroughbred horses. It was set up in 1999 to re-school, re-habilitate and re-home horses. The cost to run and staff this facility is very high at close to €300,000 per year, and unfortunately due to current times with the cancellation of the majority of their fundraising events, the charity is in need of our support to hit this figure. We have set up a fundraising page to help them. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Every euro donated here will go directly to this great cause

THE CRAFTSMEN AT WORK
Head Groundman Gerry Broderick and his team take great pride preparing the many fences for the week long Galway Races Summer Festival. Watch our behind the scenes video as they carefully prepare a steeplechase fence, the first jump in the prestigious ‘Tote Galway Plate’ race worth €250,000.
