Goffs National Hunt graduates recorded an impressive Grade 2 double yesterday, headed by the 2017 Punchestown Sale topper Vision Des Flos who was the well-deserved winner of the Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell for the Potts family, Colin Tizzard and Tom Scudamore.

Vision Des Flos was sold initially at the 2016 Goffs Land Rover Sale from Norman Williamson’s Oak Tree Farm to Paurick O’Connor for €25,000, and went on to land the Goffs Land Rover Bumper for trainer Robert Tyner before topping the Punchestown Sale just two days later, selling from Tyner’s Leighmoney Stables to Tom Malone for €270,000. Vision Des Flos looks an exciting prospect for the Grade 3 Coral Cup at Cheltenham.

Closer to home Chosen Mate won the Grade 2 Paddy Power Onside App Novice Hurdle at Naas for Gordon Elliott, The Northern Four Racing Partnership and Davy Russell. A winner on his first start in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in January, and second in a Listed Novice hurdle at Punchestown last time out, Chosen Mate was offered at the Goffs December NH Sale from Matthew Fogarty.

There was also graded success for Goffs on Saturday at Fairyhouse when the Padraig Roche trained Way Back Home won the Grade 3 Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle. The four year old was sold as a yearling at Goffs from Norelands Stud to Peter Comerford.
