Video: Goffs “Orby In Focus” Preview Series

In three weeks’ time, Goffs Orby Sale will get underway with 468 catalogued yearlings set to go through the ring. As the countdown begins to the start of one of Europe’s premier yearling sales, Goffs will be releasing a series of video features, articles and weekly blogs focussing on the upcoming sale with a look behind the scenes at this very important time of year in the breeding calendar.

From freshman sires, emerging trends and Q and A’s with some familiar faces from around the sales, we will also be speaking to some of the young guns making names for themselves and discussing what it is they most enjoy about this time of year.

Henry Beeby, Group Chief Executive of Goffs commented:

The Goffs Orby Sale looks set to be another vibrant renewal and we are delighted with the quality of the catalogue on offer this year following increased support from leading breeders. 2016’s sale had a particularly strong international presence and we hope to attract increased interest from around the globe.

For the vendors, buyers and the team here at Goffs, the preparation for this sale and others begins way back in February.  The work that goes into preparing these yearlings for the sale before they start pre-training is extensive, but also a fascinating process which we want to tell as many people about as possible.”

The Orby sale begins at 10am on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 September.  It will be followed on Thursday 28 September by the one-day Sportsman’s Sale. View the catalogues for Orby here and Sportsman’s here.
