Nunthorpe Stakes Betting 2014 – Sole Power The Early Favourite

The Nunthorpe Stakes has been around for over 100 years but in the past it was just a low grade selling race to begin but became a Conditions race in 1922 and has been ever since. It is a Group One level race and carries prize money of close to £250.000 making it one of the key races at theYork Ebor Meeting. It is raced over 5 furlongs and usually attracts the top sprinters around, including two year olds as it is one of the few races that 2 year olds get to challenge their older rivals over a sprint.

The last 2 year old to win was Kingsgate Native in 2007 and the oldest horse to win over the last 30 years was Bahamian Pirate in 2004. Sole Power won at a remarkable price of 100/1 in 2010 before finishing second in 2013 and he is expected to back again in 2014 for more glory.
