Japan Cup,  19/11/2012

The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting the Japan Cup from Tokyo Racecourse during the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday, 25 November.

The Japan Cup (G1-2400M) is rated one of the most important middle distance contests in the world alongside the Arc, the King George and the Breeders’ Cup Turf. With a total prize of approximately HK$51 million it is one of the world’s richest turf races in 2012.

A much-awaited rematch between Japan’s superstar Orfevre and French filly Solemia is on the card. The pair fought out an epic battle in the Arc in which Solemia came out on top after a dramatic finish.

Final declarations with barrier draws for the Japan Cup will be available on the afternoon of Thursday, 22 November.
