16 maggio 2016 : Darley ’17, Shape the future. Make history… Belardo, Bow Creek, Buratino, Charming Thought, Exosphere, Fast Company, Territories, The Last Lion, Toormore

Our European stallions have enjoyed another excellent year, with no fewer than 25 G1s victories around the world, and so much of their success is due to breeders such as you who support our roster each year and to whom we are so grateful.

We are pleased to introduce nine new stallions to our European roster in 2017, headed by Champion two-year-old and G1 Lockinge Stakes victor Belardo, who will stand for €15,000 at Kildangan Stud, and the G1 Prix Jean Prat winner and Classic-placed Territories, standing at £12,000 at Dalham Hall Stud.

We welcome two winners of the famed stallion-making G1 Middle Park Stakes. Charming Thought, triumphant in the 2014 renewal, will stand at Dalham Hall Stud for £8,000, while The Last Lion – so impressive in this year’s contest – will stand at Kildangan Stud for €12,000.

Joining the roster of shuttle stallions in 2017 is Australian Champion three-year-old Exosphere. He broke records over both six and seven furlongs and was higher rated than fellow reverse shuttlers Redoute’s Choice, Choisir and even our own Exceed And Excel at three. Exosphere will stand at Haras du Logis for €6,000.

Three exciting young stallions have already been announced for the Darley CLUB in 2017 and Bow CreekBuratino and Toormore are already proving popular with breeders.

Fast Company, sire of this year’s Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Jet Setting from his second crop as well as the G1 miler Devonshire and G2 Royal Ascot winner Baitha Alga from his first, will stand at Kildangan Stud for €7,000.

The established stars on our European roster are headed by Dubawi, who will stand for £250,000 at Dalham Hall Stud after another sensational season in which Postponed recorded three G1 triumphs, including the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Dubawi’s unbeaten two-year-old daughter Wuheida also flew the flag for her outstanding sire when landing the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac on Arc day, ahead of that remarkable week at the sales at Tattersalls where Dubawi sired the three highest-priced lots.
